I did want to pass along a note to say what a great 3-weeks Amelia has had at Fitwize so far this summer. Great exposure to a variety of activities (zip-lining is still the super-star event), and the crafts.

The Fitwize 4 Kids Kindergarten Enrichment Program (KE) is designed to complement the LCPS half-day Kindergarten experience. At Fitwize, we expand on the LCPS curriculum with monthly field trips, art, music, nature walks, dancing, games, center time, and of course, fitness and nutrition; with a low 8:1 ratio! Stepping out of the classroom and into the real world is a great way to experience new things and learn new concepts. We write class books throughout the year about our experiences, particularly after field trips, and each child loves sharing theses books with their family.
At Fitwize, we strive to incorporate tactile learning experiences and have a strong focus on art, creative writing, and math and phonics games. We work on confidence and teamwork, as well as the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Our class becomes a close-knit group throughout the year; we truly become a little family of our own.
Transportation is provided in our safe, clean, seat-belted vans, driven by experienced, licensed drivers. Our program is available Monday-Friday and runs from dismissal until 2:30pm, with an option to extend the day until 6:30pm. As an extension to our program, we are open on teacher work days and most holidays.
Fitwize’s KE lead teacher is a licensed/certified elementary school teacher with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education; she taught Kindergarten for five years in a full-day Kindergarten Program. The fitness portion of the KE program is coordinated by our ACE, CPR, AED and First Aid certified fitness instructor.
The ASP provides a healthy snack and is designed to meet the needs and interests of our KE-age children. We believe that learning is not just about the classroom experience but real-life experiences, as well, so we incorporate field trips, such as:
